Parish Trustee Elections
St. Lucy Parish is incorporated under Wisconsin law and has a board of directors. The board consists of the Archbishop, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese, the Pastor, and two lay trustees elected by the parish membership every two years. This year, we are holding our election for trustees the weekend of June 15. In accordance with the corporate by-laws, Fr. Mark has appointed an election committee to supervise the process.
St. Lucy’s corporate by-laws state that It is the prerogative of the pastor to nominate two candidates for trustee. This year, Fr. Mark has nominated Larry Jansen and Greg Helding. Additional nominations may be made in writing, by at least 10 parish members, to the committee by June 1. Nominees must be parish members and at least 25 years old. The election of trustees is subject to the approval of the Archbishop.
